The wiring is very light gauge. Very disappointing. After 6 months, it stopped working because of a short in the wiring between the receiver and the repeater.
I tried the indoor antenna and got terrible reception. I have the Echo transmitter installed on the second floor of my house, and the receiver (attached to the radio) 2 floors down in the basement. The Echo system is a great way to move your radio all over the house without needing extra wires. Once you have the outdoor antenna you're going to get great reception and a strong signal. It works beautifully. The key to getting good reception in your house is having the Echo transmitter connected to an outdoor antenna.
i can now use sirius radio anywhere in house including basement, and outside on deck with no worries about antenna.receiver is small,i velcro'd to top of boom box.good procuct.
Works as advertised, makes it so much easier to get the signal all over the house especially when hooked up to the outdoor antenna from Sirius.
The installation is very easy. I receive excellent reception and have been using the device for a month now with out any problems. I would highly recommend it if you have a similar problem. I have the sirius radio for use in the home and wanted to use the unit in an upstairs room. Just plug in the repeater at the location of the antenna and the receiver by the radio and the job is done. My antenna had to be located in the front of the home. I was unable to find a suitable location to mount an antenna on the second floor to receive a satellite signal. So with the Sirius Echo SIR-WRS1 I was able to leave the antenna on the first floor and move the radio to the second floor.
